Welcome to Olala Navegantes Townhouse, our new holiday home located in the historic centre of Cascais. With a clever blend of classic style and modern furnishings, this 2-bedroom townhouse has been stylishly designed through wooden details and vibrant tones, offering guests a relaxing retreat in the heart of Cascais. In addition to the charming interior, the house also features a cosy sun-drenched balcony for guests to unwind after a day full of adventures.
With a maximum capacity of 6 people, the house comprises 1 double bed, 1 double sofa bed and a bunk bed. The kitchen comes with everything needed to prepare a quick meal, as well as the added luxury of a Nespresso coffee machine. The townhouse is also equipped with a bathroom featuring a toilet and shower, as well as a half bathroom. Free toiletries are provided for your convenience. Optional services are available upon request (subject to availability): for the comfort of those travelling with little ones, a cot can be requested free of charge, while cleaning and additional towels come at an extra cost.
A small town fringed by golden bays, elegant palaces and a bicycle promenade, Cascais is a coastal gem of Lisbon. It has been attracting the attention of Portuguese royalty, artists and travellers for centuries with its beautiful landscapes, delicious delicacies and idyllic ambiences. To visit its iconic sites, the sun-lit marina and pedestrian old town are a pleasant 20-minute walk away. To explore beyond Cascais, Cascais train station is just a 5-minute drive.
The townhouse is located on the ground floor. Please note there is an internal staircase leading to the upper bedrooms.

- The tourist tax is €4 per person/night for stays of up to 7 consecutive nights and applies to guests over 13 years old. To be paid upon check-in.
- The city council requires a photocopy of the ID or passport of all staying guests, for which we will need your cooperation before your arrival. Driving licences are not accepted.

As with much of Portugal, it is helpful to be in somewhat decent physical condition to stay in apartments such as this and if walking and public transportation is how you roll. That's how we did this trip.

As with much of Portugal, it is helpful to be in somewhat decent physical condition to stay in apartments such as this and if walking and public transportation is how you roll. That's how we did this trip.
The apartment has a teeny half bath on the 1st floor, full shower on the 2nd. The shower has a fold down seat with a very movable shower head and plenty of hot water which was great for me. Kitchen is well equipped and we did not eat out. The Auchan is not too far by the train station for groceries. The Lidl is a harder walk. My wife had problems understanding the washer/dryer but we would hang our damp things on the clothesline on the balcony. The balcony gets morning sun and is enclosed with sliding windows if it is too breezy, or if you want the sea breeze. Hanging out the clothes and staying at this apartment gives a traveler a more local feel of life. If you need elevators and a less local feel, you may prefer a modern hotel. We prefer this type of holiday experience with a more local feel. I'm 73 years old but in ok shape for this living and the great walks by the water to Estoril. We will be back, as we love the off season. |

A very precise explanation of the check in process via electronics is needed in advance as so many airB&B type apartments seem to use Soooo many different types of electronic key lock situations. Depending on carrier data can get a little dicey, or if a phone battery goes out during long delays in travel, etc. Learning and using the electronic key lock was my only serious issue on our trip, but not unique to Olalahomes. It pops up quite a bit with vacation apartments. Cheers. |
